The telecomFM router is an analogue device installed on the customer’s lines to enable the customer to access a cellular GSM network direct.

Rather than the usual approach taken by the Premicell, the telecomFM router 'sits' on the system's analogue exchange lines and reads outgoing digits. Where appropriate, telecomFM router will 'send' the call to the GSM network via a SIM card / GSM device.

   the old way

the new way

Routing calls this way, the telecomFM router functions rather like a traditional LCR SmartBox. The major plus here is that the switch does not need to be reprogrammed although the familiar problems associated with SmartBoxes are present.

incoming calls

the telecomFM router handles incoming calls from the GSM network

outgoing calls

the telecomFM router sends necessary calls to your chosen GSM network, the rest go to the PTO -usually BT

least cost routing [LCR]

if you are using a SmartBox to route calls to an LCR company [eg Thus], the telecomFM router will take over the task

carrier pre-selection [CPS]

CPS is performed at the PTO's exchange, therefore, fitting the telecomFM router will have no detrimental effect

analogue lines

the telecomFM router will work on any telephone system and covers up to 18 analogue lines [in 6 line batches]

isdn lines

the telecomFM router will only work on analogue lines. if the system has a mixture of isdn & analogue lines or can be upgraded to also have analogue lines, then the telecomFM router can be used. however, switch programming will have to be performed to ensure correct auto route selection

remote management

the telecomFM can be remotely managed for maintenance & upgrade tasks

external aerial

the telecomFM router can be fitted with [up to two] externally sited aerials to boost signal strength

sims

the telecomFM router can drive 2 sims
