KX-TD 612E, you can record, send
and retrieve messages, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,

of human resources. For example, field sales
representatives can phone in sales information at any
time of day or night; customers can place
orders even when the office is closed; information can be
provided 24 hours a day through pre-recorded messages;
calls can be recorded and transcribed later – and much,

Computer telephony integration
The integration of telephony with computers is the next
big step in telecommunications. Computer Telephony
Integration (CTI) helps to increase efficiency and improve
customer service, through linking your calls with your
customer information database. The
KX-TD 612E
is
compatible with the Panasonic
Desktop Telephone Assistant (DTA) CTI software
package. The DTA is supplied separately but enables
your IT network and telephone system to work together.
ISDN2e
The
KX-TD 612E starts with four
ISDN2 channels and 12 extensions as standard, with the
option of expanding to a maximum of six channels.
This gives you huge flexibility in the choice of equipment you
wish to connect including an ISDN2 line to your desk, and offers
sufficient expandability to accommodate the growth of most
SOHO businesses.
CTI compatibility
The
KX-TD 612E is CTI (Computer Telephony Integration)
compatible for use with the Panasonic Desktop Telephony
Assistant software.
Speed dial
Up to 500 numbers can be programmed into the system for speed dialling.
Analogue line option
Even with all the advantages that ISDN2 offers, it can be useful
to have the choice and flexibility of an analogue alternative.
The
KX-TD 612E
offers an analogue line option so that you can
enjoy the speed of ISDN2 for data transfer, downloads, internet
access etc. and the cost savings of analogue line rental.
The analogue line offers peace of mind as a back up.
Multiple Subscriber Numbering and Direct Dialling In
Each
KX-TD 612E extension can be called via its own direct
dial number.
Calling Line Identity
Any proprietary key telephone with LCD can display an incoming caller’s telephone number, as long as CLI is available from the network.
Call Forward to External Number
Any extension can divert its calls to an outside number e.g. home, mobile or another office.
Call Deflection
Calls can be deflected to another number, another office or a mobile, without making any other channels busy.
Extra Device Port (XDP)
For greater capacity and flexibility when Key Phones are connected with basic telephones.
Parallel Connection
One extension number can have a PC, modem, fax, cordless, answerphone or other single line device attached.
Trunk Conferencing
Conference calls involving one internal and two external parties can easily be set up, enabling quicker decision making.
Trunk Transfer
External calls received by an extension can be transferred to an external number – whether another office, another branch or a mobile phone. This greatly enhances customer service and customer satisfaction.
Automatic Route Selection/Least Cost Routing
To reduce costs, the system chooses the most cost effective network for the outgoing number dialled. Up to nine different carriers can be connected. The system is also fully compatible with Carrier Pre Selection [CPS].
Door phone/door opener
The system can interface with up to three door intercoms and door contact closures, for remote operation of electronic door locks, to increase office security.
Easy Programming
The system can be easily programmed via the main terminal, by SJG remotely or with Windows based software.

Voice processing capability
There is a choice of Panasonic voice processing solutions which
can be integrated with the
KX-TD 612E, through the installation of
a Voice Mail Card or one of our voice processing models.
Voice processing is an important part of any telephone system. It ensures all calls are answered promptly and none are lost.
And it puts an end to illegible scribbles on scraps of paper, with all messages being accurately recorded.
Voice processing offers the following benefits:
Holiday setting capability
Callers during holidays or off-peak periods can still receive suitable help, when the system is programmed to handle their calls appropriately e.g. with auto attendant rather than voice mail.
Automatic fax transfer
The system automatically sends fax calls to the designated fax extension, eliminating the need for a dedicated fax line. A second fax extension can also be designated to handle overflows.
Enhanced integration
The following enhanced facilities are available when integrating
Panasonic voice processing systems with
KX-TD 612E
Auto configuration:
the
KX-TD 612E automatically forwards all extension information
to the voice mail, making installation simple.
Live call screening: Monitors incoming calls so you can decide whether or not to take the call.
2-way recording: Any extension user can record a conversation in his or her mailbox, simply by pressing the relevant key.
2-way transfer: allows the extension user to record a conversation in someone else’s mailbox.
Intercom paging: Allows paging announcements through proprietary telephones, to alert an extension user of a call for them.
Caller ID Intelligence (KX-TVP50 only): Callers can be routed by telephone number to a specified extension or service, be announced by name, or by number.
