Hybrid Working: A central control unit houses the system’s state-of-the-art facilities. The hybrid working KXT 1232 can be configured with any combination of KX-T7000 series key telephones, standard telephones, cordless telephones, facsimiles, Credit Card Readers, modems, etc.

Upgradeability to the Digital KXTD Range: Because all the features are centralised, upgrading from one system to the next couldn’t be easier. With the KXT 1232, you can develop your system whilst protecting your investment in your telephone equipment: all the KXT7000 series key telephones can be used with the KX-TD, as can any 2wire devices/telephones. The KX-TD system range offers additional capacity [up to 38 lines + 128 extensions] and affords ISDN facilities including Calling Line Identification, Call Charge Information plus many other benefits, as well as the facilities that you have already enjoyed with the KX-T Series.

Switchboard Operation: As well as being able to answer calls, hold and transfer at any extension, the KXT 1232 can provide full switchboard operation. This enables fast and efficient call handling whilst enabling the operator to have visual indication of all lines and extensions.

Key and Lamp Operation: The 7000 series of key telephones provide wide ranging flexibility to the user. Each extension can easily handle, and transfer multiple calls & lines. Visual indication of extensions provides instant status as to the availability of other members of staff. Each key telephone has illuminated keys to show the status of either exchange lines or extensions.

Paging/Voice Calling: The KXT has a built in paging facility which enables each key telephone to act as a speaker when not in use. There are a number of paging zones to help locate staff around the site. Voice calls can be made to certain individuals with hands free answerback which is useful for secretaries to page their bosses, for example.

Least Cost Routing: The KXT  can be programmed to take advantage of the most cost effective carriers.

System management: By attaching a printer or call management system to the KXT a detailed record of all incoming and outgoing calls can be kept.

Hunt Groups: The KXT system may be set for group hunting so that calls will be answered by the first available extension. This is useful for departmentalised set-ups. Calls that are not answered within a specified time can be set to ring a secondary extension or group of extensions. This helps enable improved customer service particularly during peak operator periods.

Hybrid working: A central control unit houses the system’s state-of-the-art facilities, and its hybrid working provides the ability to connect peripheral equipment such as answering machines, faxes and printers and even basic telephones as well as the system’s proprietary key telephones. Voice Calling: The system has a built in paging facility which enables each key telephone to act as a speaker when not in use. There are a number of paging zones to help locate staff around the site. Voice calls can be made to certain individual with hands free answerback.   Key Terminal features include: 16 programmable feature keys, Headset operation [with the KX-T71 30E], Visual status of up to 32 extensions, Announced/un-announced call transfer, Call park for busy periods, Key and Lamp Operation

Also manufactured by Panasonic, the KX-TD system range offers additional line capacity - up to 24 lines, and up to 128 extensions. The KX-TD also offers ISDN  

To help improve call handling during out of office hours & off peak periods the kxt can be switched to an alternative ringing pattern: Day/Night Service. On the KX-T616 this can also change the call barring to help prevent call abuse

  

Calls that are not answered within a specified time can be set to ring a secondary extension or group of extensions. This Delayed Ringing helps enable improved customer service particularly during peak operator periods   DISA: This facility allows external callers to dial directly to the extension they require, after following the guidance message issued by the system. This helps to ease the load of a busy operator, and connects calls quickly and easily to the caller’s chosen extension [206 only]
