It's getting worse by the day: Nuisance callers.

These vermin want to con you, get information from you or sell you some rubbish product or service.

You could register with the likes of the TPS and stop them from calling you: all this achieves is laughter from these phone abusing morons..

These callers [verminous filth] work in collusion with major networks such as BT. You didn't think they just guessed your number did you?

They call and call and call and call.

Sometimes you call them back and therefore cost yourself money as well as wasting your time. In fact they want you to call them back on their fake numbers or premium rate lines such as 0870s and 09's.

The best course of action is to answer the call and be extremely abusive to them using a 1:1 rate of swearing - the more disgusting the better. This usually results in them putting the phone down. Sometimes they even have the audacity to call back and complain or even threaten to report you! What can they do? Nothing. They usually try and protect their poor little innocent staff from nasty old you and delete you from their database. J

Often, when they call you, they present a CLI [calling line identity]. This is the number you see in your lcd whilst the phone is ringing. This number is often a premium rate number because they want you to call them back and therefore make money from you. Such calls are often the silent type. This CLI may often be a fake number such as 0000000. Sending fake CLIs is not allowed on any network the very fact that this happens confirms the collusion of major networks such as BT.

A wheeze can be performed here. Now follows an advert but at least we didn't call you. The SJG XN120 system is an affordable analogue or isdn or voip system which has an excellent feature: "stuff your call up your #?%+" [this is not it's official name].

With the "stuff your call up your #?%+" feature, a list of thousands of numbers can be added to the system's call of shame list [the entire call of shame list below could be added plus thousands more]. When the system sees the caller is on the call of shame list it simply disconnects them. Alternatively the system can answer the call and play them a message of your choice or making; then cut them off.
