    • many switches are currently defenceless against 'phone fraud, whether it be from within their own organisation or,  via hacking/phreaking, from anywhere in the world
      on large switches the losses can run into tens of thousands per day.
      even on small sites misuse can be very costly when remaining undetected for a period.

    • many UK, non sjg maintained, switches are no longer protected from unauthorised Premium Rate access in that the switch is told to bar selected extensions from accessing premium rate numbers of 0898 etc. Yet, these are no longer the actual numbers for premium rate services! sjg are the ideal company to come in and resolve these call barring issues.
    • try it for yourself: go to an extension which you know to be barred from premium rate services and dial this premium rate number 0906 1200 787 [£1.50 per minute, non offensive].  If you successfully get connected this is because the extension is barred from 0898s [old codes] instead of the new range of codes.
