32, 64 & 128 H Series and the GEC Digilink.
This often because they are forced to continue to use such switches to enable call charges to be raised for guests via the system's use of Meter Pulse Detection. These, old guard, systems were excellent for their period but now have become old and unreliable. Their replacements offer a vast array of facilities and a new way of billing.

Meter Pulse Detection [MPD]:In the old days BT would charge per unit for outgoing calls. Each time a unit was clocked up on the exchange meter a signal would be sent to the telephone system. This signal would be detected by the system and therefore would allow a bill for the call to be produced, This method is being phased out because all networks charge by time used. back to top of page
