SJG offers a range of specialist services to the communications industry and end users.
In light of the increasing costs of LCR implementation, which, in some cases are exorbitant, and the industry-wide need for reliable expertise, SJG has identified a range of services required by Network Service Providers and Service Companies.
These services, aimed to be competitive and fully flexible, are primarily: providing the expertise to bring customers onto service; maintain and develop customer’s service once connected.
Using SJG offers peace of mind. All SJG engineers are manufacturer trained on the products they are employed on. This also means they are capable of complete on-site programming [i.e.: they do not merely install the unit and require an external party to programme].
SJG’s level of expertise within the independent telecommunications field is immense enabling a sophisticated level of technical ability including the knowledge to author and implement LCR packages [databases] for any Network Operator and implement LCR across virtually all UK telecommunications systems.
Described herein is a range of mainstream services which are available now whether they be on an ad hoc basis or as a regular requirement. Also, touched upon is the basis for larger scale requirements with a much higher degree of participation by SJG.
SJG is flexible enough to accommodate most modes of operation and will arrive at a criteria to meet the client’s requirements.

When a requirement for a major specific project exists, such as a UK-wide visit to all sites to reprogram access codes, SJG is the ideal partner.
SJG will supply all the manpower required and conduct the entire project on the client’s behalf.
If necessary or required a Project Manager will be at the client’s disposal to plan, co-ordinate & implement the project.
A one-stop shop facility is available where SJG, in partnership with the client, will manage a project/major task, training SJG personnel if necessary and out-sourcing where required.
Aiming to be completely flexible, SJG aims to be able to adapt its resources to conduct any major project of any type and scope.
Installation, reprogs, non-fault.
When a visit is required SJG is informed with the usual details [work to be done, customer, class/type of work].
SJG using the client’s name, will contact the customer direct to arrange scheduling, subject to agreement with the Network Operator/Service Company.
SJG will respond to the Network Operator/Service Company within 48 hours with an appointment time and date.
The actual site visit will be within 10 days of SJG’s first notification by the client.
Contract clients have a single point of contact at SJG who also reports on a daily basis with a situation report detailing all work in progress and planning details.
To minimise disruption to the customer SJG is also offering the enclosed services on an out of hours basis at no extra charge.
This enables a smoother than ever before transition for the customer.
SJG will perform the work very early in the morning so the customer merely has to get someone on site a bit earlier.
SJG will perform the work in the evening so the customer merely has to get someone to stay a bit later.
SJG will perform the work overnight or at week-ends: an essential service for ISDN.
Available as an ad-hoc item, such visits may take priority but fall within the normal work allocation. Contract customers have their own specific response times.
This service, typically, would involve visiting a site to investigate the reasons behind loss of service or disruption of service. Or in response to a customer complaint or fault report from a system maintainer.
The Mitel Smart 1s & FBCs detailed in this document can be maintained by SJG including change-out of equipment - with client supplied or SJG units.
Systems detailed on this site [LCR] are programmable by SJG and can therefore be investigated and brought back on line. Obviously, customer owned equipment is subject to their own contract with a maintainer who is responsible for any hardware change-outs required.
